Animation progress

We started by giving each monster an idle state, here we quickly noticed that it was missing something and it was quite repetitive.

So we decided to give each level 3 variations, this way the user actually gets to see the damage getting done to the monsters.

Now you can see that it gets hurt the more u complete the level. BUT there was still something repetitive about it and after consulting we figured out that we actually need to make the monster get bigger and stronger each level too.

Now it’s only the design changing, but the bigger it gets the more agressive it has to move too.

So we added some extra agression like bigger fists and faster movements.

Now you can see it actually get stronger and angrier.

Then for the visual effects we first had each effect in a different color. We quickly noticed that this doesn’t quite fit in the display or our color palette. This is why we decided to make each effect have pink as a primary color and work from there.
