Why are we doing this?

Our goal for the first meeting was to gain insight into the client's thoughts on our initial idea and determine if any adjustments were needed or if there were specific considerations to keep in mind. This was a crucial moment in the process, as the client plays a key role, and we want them to understand and be satisfied with the final product.

Preparing for the meeting

We made sure we were able to explain our concept in a clear way and getting our storyboard ready so that the client could have a peek at a visualisation of the isntallation. and We wrote some questions down:

Questions:

• Can JEF provide us with materials like a table, screens, … ?

Clients feedback

• Fun idea
• Good idea to go for a known game → makes it intuitive
• Short tutorial at start of game always works
• Think about how you can use the creative input of the kids
  • ex: when they slide two at the same time or when they slide in the wrong one
• Finalise our idea
  • by determining when the kids should slide into which slot, what happens if they choose the wrong one, ...
• Form
  • Table and all the things we need → put it in the from (table, screen, laptop, printwork, …)
  • If we have any questions during, we can put it in the form

Thoughts and feelings:

It was a relief and a happy moment to hear that the client liked our idea and appreciated our thought process. Having a first meeting with the client was valuable for understanding their perspective and getting to know who we are working with. We will take the feedback into account and we feel confident about moving forward with the project. 😊
