Our game is ethically correct because it has been designed with respect for the target audience, with both children and parents at the center. We have ensured the game is safe, accessible, and inclusive.
We ensured that the game is safe for children and their caregivers. There is no content that could cause emotional or physical harm, and we prioritize privacy, players don’t need to share any personal information to enjoy the game.
The game is simple and intuitive for children of different ages and their caregivers. Even kids that don’t fully understand whats happening on the screen can still enjoy the game.
The sjoelboard is designed with a focus on children, ensuring they can reach the board comfortably and that the pucks roll back to the starting point. We have considered that children are smaller and have made sure the table the sjoelboard will be placed on is not too high. Additionally, we will provide a small chair for the youngest kids.
During the process, we made sure to consider accessibility for colorblind players. Initially, we used color as the main way to link buttons to their corresponding monsters. However, we realized this approach might not work for everyone. To address this, we added the first letter of each monster's name as an additional visual cue. This way, players can easily make the connection without relying solely on color.
